As an early stage startup our team members tend to wear many hats. We're currently looking for an industrial design intern who who has a flexible skillset, and feels comfortable and excited to work on projects ranging from packaging design, to hardware enclosures.
What We’re Looking For
- Full time industrial design intern who is either in school, or recently graduated
- Ability to thrive in a fluid environment and comfort working autonomously
- Curiosity, a hands on approach, and excitement to learn from both engineering and industrial design project leads
- Interest in startup environment, and comfort working hand in hand with mechanical engineering to detail out product constraints
The Job
- Ability to create compelling concepts visuals in reasonable amount of time
- Comfort working in a shop setting (operating a 3D printer, creating frankenstein prototypes, making quick form studies)
- Enthusiasm for the craft and a compelling outlook on your role as a designer
- Comfort in the following programs:
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Keyshot
- CAD modeling softwares (Any of the following: Onshape, Solidworks, Creo, Rhino)

- You meet deadlines consistently
- You are able and willing to work independently, but do not hesitate to ask for clarification when you need it
Bonus Points:
- You have something to teach us, or are a master in a certain aspect of industrial design
- You have an interest in safety/security space
Working Hours
We are full time in office at our headquarters located in Gramercy. This is an in person position, and will require candidates to commute to the office, and be able to work from 9:30-6:30pm.
Benefits and Compensation
- This is a contractor position that pays an hourly rate of $20-24/hr DOE
