Your Opportunity: Jon Michael Design, a subsidiary of Taylor Corporation, is looking for an
Industrial Designer to expand our creative capabilities. This role will focus on concept generation, 3D CAD modeling, and rendering, while contributing to product innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts through sketching, ideation, and visualization
- Create accurate 3D CAD models and photorealistic renderings
- Contribute to product animations and motion design (a strong plus)
- Operate and manage in-house 3D printing equipment
- Collaborate with the design team to push forward new concepts and executions
- Work independently and as part of a team on an as-needed basis
- Communicate with cross functional team members and stakeholders
You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product or Packaging Design, or related field
- 1+ years of relevant experience or equivalent portfolio strength
- Strong hand sketching and concept visualization skills
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, or similar)
- Rendering experience (KeyShot, V-Ray, Blender, or equivalent)
- Motion graphics/animation experience is highly desirable
- Excellent working knowledge of 3D design in digital and physical setting
- Excellent working knowledge of AI tools for visualization and design industry setting
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70k-$80k. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
