Industrial Designer
We are currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer with great design taste who is passionate about design. The ideal candidate should possess strong conceptual and technical skills, as well as succeed in multitasking, maintaining punctuality, communicating clearly, and thriving on learning while delivering excellent design. As a vital member of a small team handling a high volume of projects, the person chosen for this role should also possess strong leadership qualities and exceptional relationship building skills.
The Industrial Designer will report to the Creative Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D digital models, renderings, structural packaging, and mock-ups.
- Design and develop PDQ's, POP displays, endcaps, and in-store displays.
- Identify best design practices, methods, tools, and approaches.
- Manage multiple projects from concept to production.
- Create, produce, and deliver client presentations.
- Take on a role of mentorship, guiding the team's more junior members with clear feedback, consistent encouragement, and kind criticism.
Ideal Qualifications/Skills:
- BA or BFA in Industrial/Product Design.
- 3+ years' professional industrial design experience.
- Substantial prior experience leading and/or managing teams.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of DFM, manufacturing processes, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with designing products while keeping cost and client margin in mind.
- Solid knowledge of brand strategy (i.e. understanding and translating the aspirations of a brand).
- Experience in conducting research and competitive analysis.
- POP and exhibit experience.
- 3D printer experience (ideal, but not required).
- Packaging and/or graphic design experience is a huge plus.
- High level of emotional intelligence and exceptional collaborative and relationship building skills.
- Comfort in working within a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of the creative process.
- Ideation, brainstorming, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
- Strong presenting skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
