We are looking for a highly skilled Automotive CAD Designer with proficiency in SolidWorks and Arclight to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of the automotive racing and street performance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automotive components, systems, and assemblies using SolidWorks and Arclight, printing on our Arclight and our state of the art 3D printers.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and prototyping.
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and make design improvements.
- Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and design reports.
- Participate in product development from concept to production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive design or a related industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Arclight software for CAD design and simulations.
- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present design concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive performance components or systems especially cooling and forced air.
- Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) for design validation.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards like ISO/TS 16949 or AS9100.
