Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Industrial Designer. You will work closely with senior designers and engineers to support the creation of innovative, manufacturable products. The role is highly collaborative, requiring a balance of creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Supporting concept development through sketching, ideation, and 3D modeling.
- Creating renderings and presentations for internal reviews and client meetings.
- Developing CAD models and prototypes under the guidance of senior designers.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical drawings and design documentation.
- Researching trends, materials, and technologies to inform design solutions.
- Collaborating with engineers to ensure designs are both beautiful and feasible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
- 0–3 years of professional or internship experience in industrial/product design.
- Proficiency in CAD and rendering software (SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, or equivalent).
- Strong sketching, visualization, and storytelling skills.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, design process, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with consumer electronics, medical devices, or lifestyle products.
- Hands-on prototyping skills (3D printing, foam modeling, shop tools).
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles a plus.
