- Translate market insights, user research, and engineering requirements into design solutions
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure products are manufacturable, durable, and cost-effective
- Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to ensure alignment with factory processes, tooling capabilities, and production scalability
Prototyping & Testing
- Build and test prototypes using 3D printing, CNC, foam modeling, and other rapid prototyping techniques
- Iterate designs based on user testing, feedback, and real-world performance
- Work closely with tooling and production teams to validate pre-production units
Documentation & Support
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation including exploded views, BOMs, finish specs, and manufacturing drawings
- Support the transition from design to mass production by collaborating with suppliers and production teams, resolving design issues as needed
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing and product teams to ensure brand alignment and user-centric features
- Contribute to product roadmaps, design reviews, and strategic innovation sessions
- Engage with sourcing and quality teams to evaluate materials, finishes, and supply ch
Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial design, preferably in hardware or manufacturing-focused environments
- Strong skills in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred)
- Expertise in rendering tools and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Solid knowledge of materials, tooling, injection molding, metal fabrication, and assembly processes
- Proven track record of working on products that have gone through mass production
- Exceptional attention to detail, aesthetics, and ergonomics
- Excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal
