Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Summer Industrial Design for BioMedical Device based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, with some work from home flexibility. The individual in this role will be responsible for various design tasks including concept generation, design thinking, product design, and prototyping. Day-to-day tasks will involve creating innovative designs for biomedical devices, refining ideas through iterative processes, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Specifics
At least 3 days per week on site with team prototyping your designs
Summer stipend of ~$5k depending on dates set

Qualifications
- Ideal role for a senior or recent graduate of an Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree
- Industrial Design and Product Design skills with strong portfolio of past work
- Experience with Concept Generation and Design Thinking methodologies
- Prototyping skills and experience bringing designs to life
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with good organizational and time management skills
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the biomedical device industry is a plus
