P&P Imports LLC is a rapidly growing consumer products company that sells over 1000 items under 4 main brands: GoSports (Sporting Goods & Outdoor Games), GoFloats (Pool Floats and Games), GoPong (Party Games) and GoSports Outdoors (Outdoor Sports), and growing. Our products are primarily sold wholesale, dropship through 3rd party retailers or direct to consumers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative thinking and passionately skilled Industrial Designer with 3–7 years of experience to join our growing product development team. The ideal candidate has a background in consumer products and excels in designing with both creativity and manufacturability in mind. You should thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and be able to independently own projects from concept through production.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or mechanical engineering
3–7 years of professional experience in consumer product design with successful product launches
Agency or design consultancy experience strongly preferred
Proven experience designing consumer products—toys, games, outdoor gear, sporting goods and soft goods highly desirable
Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, including injection molding and blow molding
Expert in 3D CAD modeling (Fusion 360 preferred, SolidWorks acceptable)
Expert in DFM (design for manufacturing) and ability to engineer your own designs and concepts

· Appreciation for CMF theory and how it plays into consumer decisions and brand identity

Proficient in Keyshot with a strong eye for materiality, lighting, and creating photo-realistic renderings
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)
Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts persuasively
Ability to manage projects from concept to production, including prototyping, testing, and DFM collaboration
Portfolio or website is a must to be considered

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of new consumer products, toys, games, sporting goods, and outdoor gear, including soft goods
Generate product concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, prototyping, 3D printing, and/or rendering
Create compelling visual presentations using Illustrator and other Adobe tools as needed
Present design rationale and product solutions clearly to internal teams and stakeholders and communicate design intent with conviction
Work cross-functionally with other industrial designers, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and production-ready
Participate in color, material, and finish selection, manufacturing reviews, and vendor communications as needed

Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00
